System requirements
The specifications below are indicative and do not take into consideration any special requirements of an installation - especially issues regarding the number of users and networking.
Category:
RDBMS (Relational Database Management System)
Database Server
Application Server

RDBMS
The selection of RDBMS should be based on criteria regarding exclusively the database and the installation requirements. SoftOne equally recommends the two most popular RDBMS brands, since both are fully compatible with company's software and services.
| Parameter | Recommended | Acceptable | Under research Not certified | Insufficient specification |
| RDBMS | Microsoft SQL Server Ver 2000 / 2005 Oracle Ver 9.02/10 g |
MSDE 2000
SQL Server Express (within the limits set by the manufacturer) |
MySQL IBM DB2 Postgresql | Any other RDBMS |
DataBase Server
The specifications of the database server are defined by the RDBMS manufacturer. The following are indicative:
| Parameter | Recommended | Acceptable | Under reseacrch Not certified |

| RAM | Installation-specific | Installation-specific |
*The notes above regarding the processor apply only to Intel-based systems since in this case the Database Server usually identifies with Application Server.
However, if you select non-intel based systems you may use them only for the Database server and not for the Application Server. Therefore, the system specifications should be defined by the RDBMS manufacturer and not by SoftOne.

Desktop (stand alone) installations
Refer to the recommended specifications for the Client.
Client Connectivity Tools
Client Connectivity Tools (provided by the RDBMS manufacturer) are required in the following cases:
In clients that operate as application servers, directly connected to the DataBase Server
The application operates stand alone on a single computer
No Client Connectivity Tools are required to be installed on clients (usually remote) that do not operate as Application servers but are connected to the Application server
If both Microsoft RDBMS and Client Windows XP Pro are installed, the necessary Client Connectivity Tools are pre-installed on the clients.
Other requirements:
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later
Optional business applications & tools
Microsoft Office Word & Excel application (to utilize the application features regarding MS Office).
E-mail application (to exploit automations related to it)
Microsoft Script Engine to run customizations developed with Script Engines
